A Grateful Heart

I am grateful for the new day God has given me. I am grateful for the old day God has taken from me.
I am grateful for the love that fills my heart.
I am grateful for the peace that fills my
Soul.
I am grateful that I can sleep at night.
I am grateful for the dream that never sleeps.
I am grateful for learning.
I am grateful for knowing.
I am grateful for being.
I am grateful that moments illuminate me.
I am grateful for believing.
I am grateful that my Soul exist because God loves it.
I am grateful for the smiles in my life.
I am grateful for my loyal readers.
I am grateful that my health is my wealth.
I am grateful that I have experienced unconditional love.
I am grateful that birds still sing outside my window.
I am grateful for the storms.
I am grateful that I am on the right path.
I am grateful that Blogger is back up after 6 hours.
I am grateful that I am grateful.

Can we afford not to be grateful for anything? The air we breathe, the sun that warms our planet, even the seemingly 'bad' things that happen in our lives. Everything is a blessing.
The truth is we have so much but we are blinded by the little self and ego. And when I do not see the blessings I have in my life, I am reminded of this quote by Shakespeare...
'Making a famine where abundance lies, Thy self thy foe, to thy sweet self too cruel'
