Interview With God

November 28, 2007

Today since I am still in the midst of eradicating my errands, I have invited a guest blogger to do the post. The blogger’s name is Anonymous. You may have heard of Anonymous.

You may have even seen work by Anonymous all over the internet and it’s pretty good, I might add. Anonymous is also very talented and usually doesn’t take any credit for any work.

When I asked Anonymous to do this post, I was pleased when Anonymous didn’t put up any resistance to do this post for me.

Isn’t it marvelous when things go smoothly. It’s like making all of the green lights and getting to your destination that much faster.

When we remove resistance from our path, we add a passing lane where we can travel around the obstacle.

And now without further ado, I present a post by Anonymous. Enjoy.

Hello everyone. Alexys, thank you for allowing me to write the post for today. I know you work very hard and I am honored that you gave me this wonderful opportunity to share my story.

It’s about a dream I had. A dream that made me think about the world, life and my relationships with others and myself as well as the universe.

I dreamed that I had an interview with God. I was sitting at a big conference table and the light that illuminated from the other side was blinding.

A soft voice said, “So you would like to interview me?,”
God asked.

“If you have the time,” I said.

God smiled and said, “My time is eternity. What questions do you have in mind for me?”

“What surprises you most about humankind?,” I asked.

God replied, “That they get bored with childhood, they rush to grow up, and then long to be children again.

That they lose their health to make money and then lose their money to restore their health.

That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live in neither the present nor the future.

That they live as if they will never die, and die as though they had never lived.”

God’s hand took mine and we were silent for a while.

And then I asked, “As a parent, what are some of life’s lessons that you want your children to learn?”

God squeezed my hand and said, “To learn they cannot make anyone love them. All they can do is let themselves be loved.

To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others. To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness.

To learn that it only takes a few seconds
to open profound wounds in those they love, and it can take many years to heal them.

To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most, but is one who needs the least.

To learn that there are people who love them dearly, but simply have not yet learned how to express or show their feelings.

To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it differently.

To learn that it is not enough that they forgive one another, but they must also forgive themselves.”

"Thank you for your time," I said humbly.
"Is there anything else you would like your children to know?"

God smiled and said, “Just know that I am here... always.”

I would like to give special thanks to Anonymous for sharing this very heartfelt dream. I will hang on to each word and hold them in my heart.

You don’t have to interview God to know God.
All you need to know is that you ARE loved.

A lot of this is true :)

Nevertheless, I still don't think I shall be allowing anonymous to comment...

Crushed,
Anonymous is hurt by that. Anonymous is not out to hurt you. Anonymous only loves.

Love and let love.

I love this everytime I read it! Thanks for sharing this wonderful writing.

Mark,
Thanks for adding your valuable remarks to this stream.

That is truly lovely. It's nice to know that sometimes Anonymous has something to give. :)

I have had a few anonymous people say the nicest things on my site too, but usually they are just buggers. :)

i've always considered naming my first-born "anonymous"... then he/she could take credit for great things written like that ;)

Uber,
I know. I think Anonymous has a lot to give, but doesn't want to take credit.

Anonymous is an enigma who gives as well as takes, positive and negative, and a really good listener. Anonymous really gets around.

Alexys Fairfield 12:41 AM

Raffi,
Funny you should say that because the name Anonymous is THE most popular name. Though there was a time when it was briefly replaced by John Doe and Jane Doe.

Maithri 2:59 AM

Alexys and Anonymous,

You make me laugh, you lift my spirit, You bring light to the world,

Love to you my friend, Maithri

so true...

really, really beautiful and worth reading over and over. Can I make a copy of this? I want to print it and paste it on my wall. :)

Hey Alexys,

I couldn't leave for my weekend before reading your post; and I am glad I did :).
I would like to thank Anonymous for having shared this beautiful dream with us *bowing*: it was beautiful! :).

Of course I tend to depict God as being humourous lol; but this was a fine depction as well; specially when He says that He wants His children to know that He is here always. How true this is! And we don't need an interview with Him to know this (although many refuse to accept this).
I am a firm believer in God, and I gladly serve, worship, and love Him.

As always "Unravelling the Spiritual Mystique" transmitted good weekend vibes!

Have a blessed weekend: you and Anonymous! :)

Cheers

Alexys Fairfield 2:16 PM

Maithri,
Anonymous and I both thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are our light my friend.

Alexys Fairfield 2:18 PM

Eyna,
You can make as many copies as you like. Pass them on, post them on the wall, paste them in your heart and know that you are loved.

Thanks for dropping by. Your presence was greatly felt.

Alexys Fairfield 2:28 PM

Max,
I appreciate you getting a flying start on your weekend by stopping here first. (*tender face*)

On behalf of Anonymous who has left me for someone else, I thank you. Between you and me, I think Anonymous will be back though. We work well together and it's hard to find people with just the right chemistry.

It really was a beautiful dream, wasn't it? I think God is humorous too.

"I am a firm believer in God, and I gladly serve, worship, and love Him."

We love God as we love ourselves with tender grace. Anonymous and I would like you to have an uplifting weekend and we will continue to send you good vibrations because we know that you are indeed a good vibration.

Ciao Bella!

These 3 speak especially to me:

To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in those they love, and it can take many years to heal them.
To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most, but is one who needs the least.
To learn that there are people who love them dearly, but simply have not yet learned how to express or show their feelings.

Another great post, Alexys :-)

Eve,
Those same three speak to me too. They are just so profound that I can see how they affect people and can alter their life choices.
