Perfection my friend.

Perfection.

You have this way of combining a picture and words in a way which infuses the magic of your soul into it...

I love the idea of giving birth to love, to peace, to life...

I believe that 'male-dominated' thinking over many years has, to the detriment of humanity, not paid enough attention to the gifts of women.

Because of that concepts such as 'giving birth' and all that entails at every level, have not been explored in popular culture to the depth which it could be...

Have you visited Bella's blog (Beyond the map) or Marybeths (Misplaced mamma)? They're on the sidebar of my blog - they've written some beautiful posts on this topic... have a read if you get a chance.

Lots of love to you my sister and thanks again for another wise and beautiful post.

With love, Maithri

And his second is to avoid having his life destroyed by vindictive women :)

Maithri,
Thanks. I used to work at a magazine and I couldn't stand it when the photo editor choose the wrong picture for the article. It jarred. I vowed if I ever had my own magazine (or blog) that the text would match the photo - - and voilĂ !

I think we give birth each time we acknowledge another part of our Soul. It's new and invigorating.

"...'male-dominated' thinking over many years has, to the detriment of humanity, not paid enough attention to the gifts of women."

That's so true. Even male dominated research takes precedence over female research, i.e. there was more time and money put into researching Viagra than medication for breast cancer. (That's what I heard.)

I will check out those blogs when I get a chance.

Peace and love to you my brother.

Crushed,
Even when we are falling down, we have to think, is it because of God's will or our will that lets us fall? Anyway we look at it, we reflect our world.

We have to be responsible for our own actions and thus our lives.

This is a priceless image. It offers a witty metaphor for life and also reminds me of gutsy people involved in "polar dips" during winter time. People will jump into freezing cold water as a means to jumpstart their physical body, but also perhaps their soul.

Liara,
You are so vey insightful. How did you know? It is a photo of a Russian man taking one of those famous "polar dips" in icy water to cleanse his spirit. I am so impressed with your knowledge. Well done!

Aren't those people brave? I know they get used to it after years of doing it and Russians swear that it makes them healthier. I'm getting cold just thinking about it.

Hi Alexys;

So as not to come across as a bull in a china shop I will suffice it to say interesting image but I disagree with the quote…

…surprising eh? LOL

I loved his The Art of Loving in college. And I couldn't agree more with that thought - to me, identity transformation is central to authentic spirituality.

LS,
Thank you. You are always entitled to your oipinion, even if we disagree, it's okay.

Blogging is often the art of debate.

Thanks again.

Paul,
I was not familiar with that work until now - thank you. I will have to check it out. It's on my list now.

"...identity transformation is central to authentic spirituality."

I love that. A beautiful sentiment. Thank you for adding that.

I really love the photo in your header. I can almost hear the seagulls and taste the sea salt in the air.

Melody,
Thanks. It makes you feel like you want to walk along the beach doesn't it?
