Free Yourself

January 14, 2008

“A human being is a part of the whole
called by us universe,
a part limited in time and space.
He experiences himself,
his thoughts and feeling as something
separated from the rest,
a kind of optical delusion of
his consciousness.
This delusion is a kind of prison for us,
restricting us to our personal desires
and to affection for a few persons
nearest to us.
Our task must be to free ourselves
from this prison by widening our
circle of compassion to embrace
all living creatures and the
whole of nature in its beauty.”

~Albert Einstein

Nice!!!! I think we need to get over our differences and appreciate the variance....

Nature has so many different shapes, sizes, and colors and we think this is beautiful... Why can't we view ourselves the same way????

I love to observe my environment and all that is going on with in it! It makes me feel more connected.

Have a nice day Alexys!!!!!

Lucid,
You are such a wise Soul. As I evolve, I really appreciate the nuances of nature and all that it offers us, it's beauty, wisdom, grace and way of life, etc. It really is an amazing classroom at our fingertips.

Happy week my dear.

Mark,
Isn't it lovely. Thanks for your support.

Annie,
Nothing like intelligence to get the juices going. It is such a turn on isn't it?

Thanks for sharing your evening with me.

This is a good one and oh so true.

I understand less and less, those that want to change others, around the world and they can't get along and accept those around them here.

Cheers!

Again, I agree.

Love in the wider context, rather than a narrow exclusive form.

Hello Alexys,

This is an interesting post: Albert Einstein was a very interesting person; even though I understand nothing of his most famous relativity theory formula *nodding*. I am not a science person...

But I heard that he was also a philosopher, and this quote sure does prove it:
He is talking about people who live closed in their own Universe (family, same friends, local job, local supermarket, no travelling, no expanding the horizons, narrow minds....*shocked face*). This is indeed a big delusion and thus a mental prison; there is nothing worse than restricting the mind to not only personal desires, but also dreams, thoughts, cuirosity...I detest any kind of taboo: be it intelectual, sexual, racial...

Compassion: now there is a feeling that people do not strive to cultivate. But even those who think that are compassionate need to ask everyday if either they are selectively compassionate (only towards friends and family) or Universally compassionate (towards any person in need of love and friendship, or simply a momentaneous shoulder to cry on).

My friend, I must go cause your light is giving me quite a tan, and my skin is starting to be reddish lol :D!

Cheers

CM,
The more I know, the less I know, but the more I understand, the more I understand.

I don't understand why we all can't get along for the short time we are together on earth.

Peace, my friend.

Alexys Fairfield 1:36 PM

Crushed,
Everyone should just get on board the love train huh? Choo choo! ;D

Max,
Not to worry. I don't get most of Einstein's theories either - and I like science. I think that even people who think they understand probably don't really understand? Ha ha. Ironically, Einstein wasn't very good at school either so I am not sure that he would understand his own theory if someone else had presented it to him at that age.

I understand that he just built it on Galileo's and Newton's similar theories of motion and gravity.

I don't know how he had time to discover what he discovered because he was quite the ladies man. His wife (I can't remember which one?) was a brilliant scientist and it was her ideas that he stole. So the theories of Einstein are really HER theories. In those days women couldn't be as brilliant as men.

He left his first wife and married his cousin after considering marrying her daughter, but the daughter was 18 years younger than Einstein and she was not attracted to him. Then he cheated on his second wife with his secretary and six other women, including a Russian spy. (I hear your disdain girl.)

I do like his philosophies though. They are quite brilliant (if they are his?)

"He is talking about people who live closed in their own Universe (family, same friends, local job, local supermarket, no travelling, no expanding the horizons, narrow minds....*shocked face*)."

He is talking about small minds, I think, and how we are in prison for not expanding our world view, thus our consciousness. You are right, it is a delusion to restrict our minds and our hearts to anything other than that universal hand in the sky.

"...those who think that are compassionate need to ask everyday if either they are selectively compassionate (only towards friends and family) or Universally compassionate (towards any person in need of love and friendship, or simply a momentaneous shoulder to cry on)."

So true. We must open our hearts and minds to love and knowledge.

"My friend, I must go cause your light is giving me quite a tan, and my skin is starting to be reddish lol :D!"

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Btw, they have spray on tan now. All you have to do is spray and go - instant browning with no cooking. ;D

UBERMOUTH 7:31 AM

That's lovely bit all kinda flowery don't you think? Some people are just born liars and scoundrels. Surely Alb knew that!

Max 7:37 AM

Alexys,

"I think that even people who think they understand probably don't really understand? Ha ha." - I hear you lol...it is quite possible.

Yes, I had heard that Einstein wasn't very good in school, no. There was another scientist that didn't know how to write yet he was a great scientist (can't remember his name; but I know that his mom was the one who wrote his essays for him).

"I don't know how he had time to discover what he discovered because he was quite the ladies man." - LOL LOL most women like anything that is male, indeed! I mean, the man wasn't all that...please...*nodding*. But I am glad that he wasn't a boring scientist only, at least he had fun LOL ;)!

"His wife (I can't remember which one?) was a brilliant scientist and it was her ideas that he stole. So the theories of Einstein are really HER theories. In those days women couldn't be as brilliant as men." - :0 what?! Really?! It wouldn't surprise me at all; if even today a brilliant woman is still called names, I can imagine how things were back then (a man would have to be the face of their work *spit*)!

"He left his first wife and married his cousin after considering marrying her daughter, but the daughter was 18 years younger than Einstein and she was not attracted to him. Then he cheated on his second wife with his secretary and six other women, including a Russian spy. (I hear your disdain girl.)" - LOL LOL you have a good ear! Cause my disdain was loud and clear lol *nodding*. That shorty (Einstein lol) was dangerous LOL: where did he find the time to chase all these women? The 18 years old girl was the smarter of them all LOL LOL...

"I do like his philosophies though. They are quite brilliant (if they are his?)" - we must start assuming that his philosophies might have been from a secret lover of his: his stunning neighbour who was thirsty of attention, and got it from shorty Ein LOL *nodding*.

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Btw, they have spray on tan now. All you have to do is spray and go - instant browning with no cooking. ;D " - LOL LOL LOL no thanks, I prefer your light LOL :D! "Instant browning" LOL LOL this was a great one; but I must confess that I don't get instantly brown, I am a hopeless case of MichaelJacksonitis LOL *nodding*!

We are great LOL!

Cheers

Alexys Fairfield 11:47 AM

Max,
"There was another scientist that didn't know how to write yet he was a great scientist (can't remember his name; but I know that his mom was the one who wrote his essays for him)."

Really, I wonder who? That's a mother's love for you.

"I mean, the man wasn't all that...please...*nodding*. But I am glad that he wasn't a boring scientist only, at least he had fun LOL ;)!"

He did have fun didn't he? Imagine how much more he could have discovered? I mean if he usurped all the women he was with, he may have even stolen their secrets too. Who knows what anyone discovered? That's the downside of history. We never really know the whole truth.

"That shorty (Einstein lol) was dangerous LOL: where did he find the time to chase all these women?"

His head was so fat that his parents thought he was deformed. As he got older his head was still fat; it is called ego. Women are attracted to intelligence (I know I am), but I wouldn't go for HIM even if he were the most brilliant man ever. I don't think he treated his first wife very well. When he was having an affair, he gave her a contract stating that they no longer needed to have sex with each other, she should just cook and clean for him and not touch his office.

"We must start assuming that his philosophies might have been from a secret lover of his: his stunning neighbour who was thirsty of attention, and got it from shorty Ein LOL *nodding*." LOL.

Yes, imagine how the world would change if we knew secrets of great minds. Maybe I should write a book about it?

"LOL LOL LOL no thanks, I prefer your light LOL :D!"

Thank you. *bowing*

"I am a hopeless case of MichaelJacksonitis."

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Sending you love and light.

Alexys Fairfield 11:55 AM

Uber,
Einstein probably knew a lot about scoundrels, he was one himself. I don't think people are born that way. I think their way of life clashes with the way life is.

Max 12:15 PM

Hello Alexys,

"Really, I wonder who? That's a mother's love for you." - I really don't remember his name (I remember that he was from Newton's generation). Indeed :).

"He did have fun didn't he? Imagine how much more he could have discovered? I mean if he usurped all the women he was with, he may have even stolen their secrets too. Who knows what anyone discovered? That's the downside of history. We never really know the whole truth." - you are right about this last comment "We never really know the whole truth" *nodding*. LOL he did have fun; I can imagine that he could've discovered much more (or usurped much more lol [now I am being mean])! If they discovered that he stole from his women they will never tells us....

"His head was so fat that his parents thought he was deformed. As he got older his head was still fat; it is called ego. Women are attracted to intelligence (I know I am), but I wouldn't go for HIM even if he were the most brilliant man ever." - LOL LOL LOL I am attracted to intelligence too; but shorty Ein would never be on my "must prey on" list LOL *nodding*! I hear you, sista!

"I don't think he treated his first wife very well. When he was having an affair, he gave her a contract stating that they no longer needed to have sex with each other, she should just cook and clean for him and not touch his office." - :0 say what? He did that? He was bold we gotta give him that *nodding*...and his wife accepted it? Or did she decide that he had to go?

"Yes, imagine how the world would change if we knew secrets of great minds. Maybe I should write a book about it?" - you should, please write a book about it :). It is an amazing theme!!!

"Thank you. *bowing*" - you are much welcome *bowing*! :D

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!" - LOL LOL

"Sending you love and light." - which I humbly accept, dear :)!

Big smile and cheers

Alexys Fairfield 2:06 PM

Max,
"...his wife accepted it? Or did she decide that he had to go?"

Ironically, I think his first wife still wanted him even though he was unfaithful. (No self-esteem or perhaps being with him elevated her place in society.) She was willing to accept her demotion from wife to slave. I probably would have packed his bags and kicked him to the curb. Don't let the door hit cha where the dog should have bit cha!

Thanks for the kaffeeklatsch! ;D

Max 7:24 AM

Alexys,

Word? She still wanted him? You are right: she had no self-esteem! Even when women want to keep their status, they don't accept to turn into slaves, they demand a lot in return (they demand to be compensated for the "humiliation").

"I probably would have packed his bags and kicked him to the curb. Don't let the door hit cha where the dog should have bit cha!" - LOL LOL LOL I think that if I were his wife he wouldn't have had the nerve to step up to me and make this type of business proposal *spit* lol...

"Thanks for the kaffeeklatsch! ;D" - nichts zu danken (you're welcome) ;D!

We cleaned our livers with this petite hen party LOL :)!

Cheers

Alexys Fairfield 10:44 AM

Max,
"I think that if I were his wife he wouldn't have had the nerve to step up to me and make this type of business proposal *spit* lol..."

I feel you on that sista. He would have taken his life into his own hands if he gave either one of us that. It may have been Coutinho's or Fairfield's theory of relativity, either which would have probably been more brilliant that the current theory. LOL

"We cleaned our livers with this petite hen party LOL :)!"

I know, wasn't it great. (chuckling)

Until next time.

Einen schönen Tag allerseits!

Max 11:29 AM

Dear Alexys,

"It may have been Coutinho's or Fairfield's theory of relativity, either which would have probably been more brilliant that the current theory. LOL" - LOL LOL LOL that was a good one! But you are right on that one :).

"I know, wasn't it great. (chuckling)" - it was awesome :D!

"Until next time." - until next time, dear :).

"Einen schönen Tag allerseits!"- danken, mein liebling :)! Du sprichst deutsch?
