Wonder

January 11, 2008

“People travel to wonder
at the height of the mountains,
at the huge waves of the seas,
at the long course of the rivers,
at the vast compass of the ocean,
at the circular motion of the stars,
and yet they pass by themselves
without wondering.”

~Saint Augustine

This is so true! Just how a vibrant flower, full of wonderfully alluring colors, sits in its' flower bed looking ever so innocent and beautiful without one ounce of effort. It's done with out regard, yet we marvel over it.... I think we awe over things like this because we have to take extra steps to achieve this; it doesn't come as natural.

Peace & Love !!!

Hi Lucid,
I like you analogy. Yes, we do marvel at the flowers in the flower bed. There are so many marvels in nature. If we observe nature for a hour or two, we would truly be amazed at the effortless effort.

Thanks for your valuable comments.

Have a great weekend.

This is true.
We are I think, the most amazing thing in the universe.

Crushed,
We truly are.

Great quotes. Think we spend so much time and effort to look for wonders and beauty when we can have them within reach.

Ivy,
The real beauty is always within. We have to reach the realization of inner beauty before we can be happy.

Wow, the words and picture really grab me, Alexys. To consider oneself a wonder is riveting. But I'm sure God thinks we are each a wonder that He cares for and loves.

Now if I can just hold onto that thought! I'm a wonder!

Hi Deb,
Wonder is a wonderful thing isn't it? We are all wonders to God, we just have to believe it. We have to travel to the depths of our Soul to find life, but it is there in our face if we open our eyes.

Hold on to it Deb, hold on to your wonder. :D

You are so profound! You blow me away...

The picture says it all...

We've been facing the wrong way!

The task of this life is simply to turn around

Love and peace, M

Maithri,
It is only because you have profundity in your Soul that you see it in me.

"We've been facing the wrong way! The task of this life is simply to turn around."

Spoken like a true prophet my dear. I thank you my friend for sharing yourself here. The picture is cool isn't it?

Peace be with you.
